Special Youth Session featuring Mrs. Erika J. Kendrick

Acclaimed author, national speaker, and mental fitness junkie, Ms. Kendrick has written Confessions of a Rookie Cheerleader, Appetite, and The Accidental Escort. She is a recipient of several “Who’s Who” honors, a Rising Icon honor, Awards of Excellence, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Erika has been a guest on The Wendy Williams Experience, national television and radio segments, and a host of other media outlets. She’s been featured in The New York Post, The Chicago Tribune, and various magazines and digital media. She is currently finishing her memoir and touring nationally.

Mississippi Families for Kids is a statewide, private 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization instituted in 1994 and incorporated in 1998. The mission of Mississippi Families for Kids is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families through the development of educational services and specialized trainings. The organization’s primary function is to implement child-focused, solution-based, and community service programs that are dedicated to improving the conditions of families and children. The agency offers a broad array of community based child welfare services including, but not limited to, adoption, training, counseling, behavior therapy, referral sources, kinship care support and children's support groups.
